Started Karting in the 80s , learned race craft with racing with other junior karters like Alan McNish and Jason Plato, I won driver of the year award in 1984, gave up racing at the age of 16 to start my own business, Returned to motorsport in 1994 in Toca Ford Fiesta Challenge won nearly all the best improver awards for the driver who made up the most places on the grid, 1995-2001 back to business,

2002 John Cooper Challenge, won races in first year

2003 John Cooper Challenge, Scottish Mini Challenge (helped to start the Scottish series)

2004 J C C , moved to new Cooper S from coopers, won first ever race in BMW mini Cooper S at Donnington, ended championship on level points with Martin Wallbank, lost out to Martin on countback,

2005 J C C , won overall title, Britcar ..raced a Mini to an outright win in the rain at Snetterton (the first open class win for the mew mini worldwide according to autosport). Built a BMW Mini for the Fastest Mini in the world Race at Brands, and won the title, Raced a works mini in the britcar 24hrs at Silverstone was leading class until mechanical failure, represented the uk in mini united in missano Italy, 2 races with 2 DNFs -car failure

From being a kid I always wanted to be a saloon car racer..used to love watching the DTM in the days they had the E30 BMWs racing…that was my dream at the time, as time went on I still wanted to be a BMW racer..the days when Winckelhock and Soper were so dominant in BTCC that was when I knew what my true goal was to race in the BTCC in a BMW
